Can I make a Freedom of Information request?

As a public authority, Chiltern Railways is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

This means that any person has the right to ask us for any recorded information we hold and have that information provided to them unless specific limited exemptions or exceptions outlined in the FOIA or EIR apply. For more information, please visit the Information Commissioner's website.

Internal Review

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request, you can ask us to carry out an internal review. Please write to the FOI team at the address above or email FOI.chiltern@dftoperator.co.uk

You should request an internal review within 40 working days of receiving our response. Please explain why you are dissatisfied and any points you would like us to consider.

If you remain dissatisfied after the internal review, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk
