Why is it too hot/too cold on my train?

All of our trains' air conditioning is standardised to create a consistent temperature in all weathers and during the summer months, the air conditioning units are expected to drop the temperatures by approximately 10 degrees. 

Unfortunately, when we experience temperatures that are much higher or lower than we would usually expect, we recognise the heating / air conditioning may not have the desired effect and we apologise if this causes you to experience an uncomfortable journey.

There may also be times when the air conditioning units also develop a fault. If this is ever the case, please report this to an on board member of staff where available. 

Trains regularly undergo routine maintenance to ensure faults are picked up on quickly. 

Please also note that where there has been a fault, this may sometimes be specific to a single carriage and if possible, you may wish to move in to another carriage where the train may be cooler.
